“To Be With You in Velaris” is an imagined moment I couldn’t stop thinking about, born during an evening walk through Italy with my fiancé. As we wandered through quiet, golden-lit streets under the night sky, I kept thinking: This must be what Velaris feels like. I pictured Rhysand alone on a rooftop, watching Feyre from a distance, longing for her, loving her silently while she stood beneath the shimmering magic he sent just for her, unaware of his gaze.
Later, while painting on our balcony, I caught my fiancé looking at me the same way - full of quiet love. That moment stayed with me, and I sketched this piece almost immediately.
